  • "I love being the school nurse because I get to build a relationship with all of the students in the building. I love helping them to feel better when they get 'boo boos' or when they just don't feel good. No matter why they are in the clinic to see me, I try to use my best judgement in deciding what to do to make them feel better than they did before they came to see me. The fact that I'm the only one in the building to do this job, makes my work more meaningful and makes me feel like I'm needed."

"My husband, Chuck, and I have been together over 26 years. He owns a shaved ice business that keeps him very busy, but you can find him running trails most days of the week. My daughter, Avery, will be 20 in August and is attending UNG towards a degree in English/Screenplay writing. My son, Evan, will be a senior at Apalachee next year, and is in the Wind Ensemble band and Marching band. My daughter, Cayley, will be in 7th grade next year at AIM and she loves it there. She just started her 5th year of competition cheerleading, and she keeps me very busy with her practice schedule. My son, Coleman will be in 4th grade next year. He started playing soccer in January, and is enjoying it a lot. I have 5 dogs; four Australian Shepherds (mom-Sadie, dad-Rocky and 2 of their puppies-Ginger and Rosie- from one surprise litter a few years ago), and a Border Collie named Luna, who is very demanding when it comes to playing ball. We also currently have 9 Guinea Pigs, but they mostly belong to my oldest, Avery, who has always had a love for animals."

Interests: Running with my friends, watching Cayley Cheer and Tumble, watching/listening to Evan's marching band and concerts, watching Coleman play soccer, playing games with my kids, reading, playing with my dogs, Binge watching shows with Avery
